Cub Section Update for Feb 28th
Dear Cubs and Parents,
We will not be having a regular meeting this weekend at the school. Instead, we will be having a Kub Kar Rally at the South Arm United Church! Please read the attached document in email.
Location: South Arm United Church @ No.3 Rd and Steveston Hwy. (this is not the church beside South Arm Community Center)
Registration Time: 12pm
Race Time: 3pm
If you are unable to arrive before 3pm to register, please notify Scouter Victor (aegis-x303@hotmail.com) as soon as possible.
Please arrive before 2:30pm, since the race begins at 3pm sharp.
Spring Camp
Please read the attached document in email.
Sign up deadline is this weekend, Feb 28th. However, you may pay Gloria on March 7th. Please sign up with Scouter Josh before leaving the Kub Kar Rally. If you are unable to show up for the Rally, please e-mail Scouter Victor as soon as possible.
We would like all cubs to design a camp badge for this week. After the cubs are done, please bring the design to Scouter Josh and all the leaders will evaluate them. Whichever badge is chosen will become this year's camp badge!
If there are any parents that can carpool, please e-mail Scouter Victor (aegis-x303@hotmail.com) with the available seats. You will be reimbursed for the gas. Please note that if parents are willing to carpool, they must help carpool for both the trip to and from the camp, unless if they can find a substitute. Much appreciated!
That's it for now! Hope everyone has a good week!

Cub section update - Feb 14th
Dear Cubs and Parents,
We will be having our regular this upcoming weekend at school on Feb 14th from 3:00pm - 5:00pm. Please make sure to arrive at least 10 minutes before 3:00pm; once our opening ceremony starts at 3:00pm, no one is allowed into the gym until the ceremony is over.
This week, we will begin building Kub Kars. We have an insufficient amount of leaders to supervise all 36 cubs at the same time when they build their Kub Kar, as well as when they use sandpapers and such, so parent participation will be appreciated. If parents DO NOT show up, they should be prepared to have children leaving with injuries, whether it be minor or fatal. If parents DO show up, the above scenario will not occur. We, as leaders, will do anything within our powers to keep the cubs safe, including giving a de-briefing on the dangers of tools and only allowing adults to use saws. If the cubs continue to act dangerously even after warnings and injure themselves or others, leaders are not held liable for such offenses and the most we can do are to send them to the Richmond Hospital for surgeons to deal with their injuries.
If anyone have small saws, sandpaper, felt pens, or paint, and are willing to lend them out for us to use, please bring them to our next meeting. Thank you in advance!
Upcoming Events:
Feb 21 - Curling @ Holybridge Way
Feb 28 - Kub Kar Rally
Mar 7 - Regular meeting
Mar 14 - Spring camp
Mar 21 - No meeting (Spring Break)
Mar 28 - Regular meeting

(The above is only a dramatization of extreme conditions of injuries. Please do not take it personally. We DO NOT WISH any injuries to occur during our meetings, nor do we want cubs to have missing fingers or limbs. This dramatization is only used to encourage parents to participate more at their child's activities.)
