Cub Section - Update for Jan. 30th

Dear Cubs and parents,


We will be having a regular meeting this Saturday, January 30, at Brighouse Elementary from 3:00PM-5:00PM.


Please see the attached 'Cub Camp Equipment List' for a list of equipment to pack for camping. For this week, we would like all Cubs to pack a backpack to our regular meeting this week as practice for camping. ALL CUBS MUST DO THIS, REGARDLESS OF IF THEY ARE GOING TO THE CUB WINTER CAMP OR NOT. Thank you!


Announcement: Federal Children's Fitness Tax Credit

In response to a significant number of inquiries regarding the Children's Fitness Tax Credit, the Scouts Canada National Operations Advisory Committee reviewed Scouting's programs as they relate to the tax credit. It was determined that Scouts Canada programs, when delivered to the program standards, promote an active and healthy lifestyle and would be eligible activities for the purpose of the child fitness tax credit.

In preparation for the printing of receipts for tax exemption purpose for youth activities, please email Gloria at gloria_199@yahoo.ca with the legal name for yourself and your child to be used on the receipt. No receipt will be printed until confirmation is received.

Cub Section - Update for Jan. 23

Dear Cubs and parents,


We will NOT be having a regular meeting this Saturday, Jan. 23. Instead, we will be having our group's Snowshoeing event at Mount Seymour.

To all those that have signed up for this event: Please arrive at the Sexsmith Park-n-Ride by 8:15AM on Saturday. Please see the attached 'Snowshoeing Packing List' for full information for what to pack on this trip.

The Cubs will return to the Sexsmith Park-n-Ride at 4:00PM, and NOT 2:30PM. Please remember this new time! Thank you!


2010 Cub Winter Camp

We will be extending our Cub Winter Camp sign up until this Saturday, Jan.23. You may sign up through email, and pay at our next regular meeting on Jan. 29. However, you must note that once you have signed up, you MUST pay for the fee, regardless of if you are unable to attend or not after the deadline. Thank you, and sorry for any inconvenience.

Winter Cubs Camp 2010

Our upcoming annual Cub Camp is on Feb.6-7! Please see the attached 'Winter Cubs Camp 2010' for more details. Registration deadline for this camp is this Saturday, Jan.16.

To all parents: If you are able to carpool children, leaders, and equipment to and from the camp, please email me. You will be re-imbursed for the gas.


Science World Sleepover 2010
