We will be having a regular meeting this Saturday, May 1, at Brighouse Elementary from 3:00PM - 5:00PM. Please arrive by 2:50PM.
Cuboree:
Date: May 22 - 24
Cost: $40 per Cub
Registration deadline: May 1. If you wish to sign up for Cuboree, you MUST pay by this week. You may either pay by cash or by cheque.
Cuboree Information:
Cuboree is a 3-day 2-night outdoor camp, where Cubs can have their first taste at what Scouting really is, and what outdoor camping has to offer! This year's Cuboree theme is "Super Hero", and Cubs from all over the Richmond area dress up as their favorite heroes and everyone competes to be the best! Cubs get to play games, meet new friends, and learn new things!

Hello leaders!
If I remember correctly, this Saturday is gardener! We did not have this program in our original plan that we had in September, so there is no assigned organizer for this program. Would anyone like to take up the task? That would be much appreciated!

Cub Section - Update for April 3rd
Dear Cubs and parents,
We will not be having a regular meeting this Saturday, April 3, at Brighouse Elementary.
To all parents: As many of the Cub leaders are unavailable this coming weekend, I will be postponing the bi-annual evaluation meeting to a later date. Sorry for the inconvenience!
If, however, you have any comments or questions that you have so far of how the Cub section functions, as well as anything else that you would like to point out about Cubs, please send me an email, and I will try to address them as soon as I can.

Cub Section - Update for Mar 20th
Dear Cubs and parents,
We will be having a regular meeting this Saturday, March 20, at Brighouse Elementary from 3:00PM - 5:00PM. Please arrive 10 minutes before 3:00PM, as doors will be locked and closed from 3:00PM - 3:10PM.
All parents: I will be organizing a semi-annual Cub leaders meeting on April 3, which is the Easters holiday weekend. I would like to invite all parents to come to this meeting to give us feedbacks and suggestions for programs from the last half year and in the coming half year left.
If you wish to come, please send me an email with your attendance, as I will be ordering some food and drinks for this meeting. The cost will be approximately $10/person. Depending on the venue, you may bring your Cubs along as well. I will notify you shortly.
If any parents have any photos or videos from previous Cub outings or events, please burn all photos or videos onto a CD or DVD, and hand them in to me, as I will be updating our Group online photo album. Thank you!

Attached is the upcoming Kub Kar Rally information and rules. The Kub Kar Rally is at South Arm United Church on No.3 Rd and Steveston Hwy on March 6.
TO ALL PARENTS:
We will be preparing Kub Kars this Saturday for the upcoming Kub Kar Rally on Mar. 6. Leaders will be providing the Kub Kars for the Cubs, as well as some carpentry tools at the upcoming meeting.
As we will be using very dangerous cutting tools, and with a limited number of leaders, we would like to encourage all parents to come to the upcoming meeting to help the children create their Kub Kar. Your help is appreciated greatly!

Cub Section Update for Feb. 6 **CUB CAMP PARTICIPANTS PLEASE READ CAREFULLY**
Dear Cubs and parents,
We will NOT be having a regular meeting this Saturday, Feb. 6.
For Cubs and parents that are going to the Winter Cub Camp:
1) Please arrive at Sexsmith Park n' Ride on Saturday, Feb. 6, by 8:30AM. We will be returning to Sexsmith Park n' Ride on Sunday, Feb. 7, at 4:00PM.
2) Please bring your scarf and your Cub Book.
To Wendy Chan (Edwin's mom), Iris Wu (Ryan's mom), Alina Liu (Yilin's mom), and Melissa Koo (Andrea's mom):
As your child is under 9 years old, they are required to have a booster seat when they are on the car. Please bring your own booster seat on Saturday for your child. Thank you!

We will be having a regular meeting this Saturday, January 30, at Brighouse Elementary from 3:00PM-5:00PM.
Please see the attached 'Cub Camp Equipment List' for a list of equipment to pack for camping. For this week, we would like all Cubs to pack a backpack to our regular meeting this week as practice for camping. ALL CUBS MUST DO THIS, REGARDLESS OF IF THEY ARE GOING TO THE CUB WINTER CAMP OR NOT. Thank you!
Announcement: Federal Children's Fitness Tax Credit
In response to a significant number of inquiries regarding the Children's Fitness Tax Credit, the Scouts Canada National Operations Advisory Committee reviewed Scouting's programs as they relate to the tax credit. It was determined that Scouts Canada programs, when delivered to the program standards, promote an active and healthy lifestyle and would be eligible activities for the purpose of the child fitness tax credit.

In preparation for the printing of receipts for tax exemption purpose for youth activities, please email Gloria at gloria_199@yahoo.ca with the legal name for yourself and your child to be used on the receipt. No receipt will be printed until confirmation is received.
